Information we receive
The site itself stores no personal data. If you contact us by email or through the contact form, we receive what you chose to send — typically your name, your address for correspondence, and the content of your message.
How we use it
We use what you send us to reply and to look after the order or question it concerns: finding your size, packing your loungewear, arranging delivery. It does not go into a newsletter you never signed up for, and Monastery101 does not hand customer details to advertisers or to anyone who wants to market to you.
Cookies
Monastery101 does not use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies. When you close the small notice at the bottom of the screen, your browser saves one setting so the notice stays hidden while you look through the pyjamas and homewear. Clear it in your browser whenever you like; the notice will simply return on your next visit, and nothing else changes.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. It is disclosed only if the law obliges us to, and to no one else.
How long we keep it
Messages about a pyjama size or a thermal set stay with us for as long as the conversation is useful: while we answer, while the parcel travels across Japan, and for a little while after in case you want to swap a size. Then we delete them. Anything the law obliges a shop to retain, such as transaction records, is stored for the legally required period only.
Your rights
Under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information you are entitled to know what Monastery101 holds about you, to have it corrected, and to have it erased. Send the request through the contact form on this site; before changing or deleting anything we check that the request comes from you, then deal with it without delay.
Keeping it safe
Your correspondence lives in an ordinary, access-protected mailbox, readable only by the people who need to answer you.
